KEY FACTS:
  • 1229 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2007, compared with 1239 during 2006.


  • 124 people have been seriously injured in NOVEMBER 2007.


  • 80 serious injuries were males and 44 were females.


  • 89 were vehicle occupants, 17 were motorcycle riders, 10 were pedestrians and 8 were cyclists.


  • In NOVEMBER 2007, there were 43 serious injuries in the country and 81 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 95 serious injury crashes in NOVEMBER 2007, 51 involved a single vehicle and 44 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 78 crashes involved a single serious injury and 17 involved multiple serious injuries.
