KEY FACTS:
  • 880 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2007, compared with 896 during 2006.


  • 104 people have been seriously injured in AUGUST 2007.


  • 69 serious injuries were males and 35 were females.


  • 80 were vehicle occupants, 10 were motorcycle riders, 10 were pedestrians and 4 were cyclists.


  • In AUGUST 2007, there were 47 serious injuries in the country and 57 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 85 serious injury crashes in AUGUST 2007, 52 involved a single vehicle and 33 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 72 crashes involved a single serious injury and 13 involved multiple serious injuries.
