KEY FACTS:
  • 323 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2008, compared with 319 during 2007.


  • 112 people have been seriously injured in MARCH 2008.


  • 77 serious injuries were males and 35 were females.


  • 85 were vehicle occupants, 11 were motorcycle riders, 8 were cyclists and 8 were pedestrians.


  • In MARCH 2008, there were 58 serious injuries in the country and 54 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 92 serious injury crashes in MARCH 2008, 55 involved a single vehicle and 37 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 79 crashes involved a single serious injury and 13 involved multiple serious injuries.
