ROAD CRASH SERIOUS INJURIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

KEY FACTS:

211 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2008, compared with 211 during 2007.

103 people have been seriously injured in FEBRUARY 2008.

68 serious injuries were males and 35 were females.

75 were vehicle occupants, 14 were motorcycle riders, 9 were pedestrians and 5 were cyclists.

In FEBRUARY 2008, there were 40 serious injuries in the country and 63 in Adelaide.

Of the 82 serious injury crashes in FEBRUARY 2008, 46 involved a single vehicle and 36 involved more than one vehicle.
70 crashes involved a single serious injury and 12 involved multiple serious injuries.
