KEY FACTS:

554 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2007, compared with 591 during 2006.

103 people have been seriously injured in MAY 2007.

66 serious injuries were males and 37 were females.

71 were vehicle occupants, 16 were motorcycle riders, 10 were pedestrians and 6 were cyclists.

In MAY 2007, there were 55 serious injuries in the country and 48 in Adelaide.

Of the 90 serious injury crashes in MAY 2007, 53 involved a single vehicle and 37 involved more than one vehicle.
80 crashes involved a single serious injury and 10 involved multiple serious injuries.
