KEY FACTS:
  • 554 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2007, compared with 591 during 2006.


  • 103 people have been seriously injured in MAY 2007.


  • 66 serious injuries were males and 37 were females.


  • 71 were vehicle occupants, 16 were motorcycle riders, 10 were pedestrians and 6 were cyclists.


  • In MAY 2007, there were 55 serious injuries in the country and 48 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 90 serious injury crashes in MAY 2007, 53 involved a single vehicle and 37 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 80 crashes involved a single serious injury and 10 involved multiple serious injuries.
