KEY FACTS:
  • 1360 people have been seriously injured on South Australian roads during 2007, compared with 1357 during 2006.


  • 128 people have been seriously injured in DECEMBER 2007.


  • 87 serious injuries were males and 41 were females.


  • 90 were vehicle occupants, 19 were motorcycle riders, 17 were pedestrians and 2 were cyclists.


  • In DECEMBER 2007, there were 55 serious injuries in the country and 73 in Adelaide.


  • Of the 98 serious injury crashes in DECEMBER 2007, 56 involved a single vehicle and 42 involved more than one vehicle.

  • 82 crashes involved a single serious injury and 16 involved multiple serious injuries.
