DTEI Regions

Road accident information maps can be used to identify potential black spot locations within each Council area in accordance with the Black Spot criteria. These maps are based on crash data for the period 2002 to 2006, and identify for your local road network, casualty crash and black spot locations.

More detailed examination of crash type of specific crashes is required to undertake the benefit cost analysis. Councils are required to contact the Road Crash Information Manager, DTEI, on (08) 8343 2250 to access this data. DTEI regions can access this information directly through TIMS.
