Notice to Mariners No 36 of 2002

South Australia- Gulf of St. Vincent - West Beach- Restricted Areas

The following areas have been established as restricted areas with immediate effect.
1) a 250 metre square located approx. 250 metres north of the centreline of the Sardi pipeline and bounded by the following AGD 66 co-ordinates.

a. On the south-west by the No.1 pink pimple buoy Fl. 4 secs at approx .position Lat. 34 degrees 57 mins 18.5 secs S Long. 138 degrees29 mins 44 .0 secs E.
b. On the north -west by the No.2 pink pimple buoy Fl.4secs at approx. position Lat. 34 degrees 57 mins 10.7 secs S Long. 138 degrees 29 mins 41.2 secs E
c. On the north -east by the no.3 pink pimple buoy Fl.4secs at approx position Lat. 34 degrees 57 mins 08.4 secs S Long. 138 degrees 29 mins 50.6 secs E. .
d. On the south-east side by the No.4 pink pimple buoy Fl 4secs at approx. position Lat. 34 degrees 57 mins 16.2 secs S Long. 138 degrees 29 mins 53.4 secs E.

2) A second area commencing at a point being the intersection of the low water mark and an imaginary line parallel and offset approx. 40 metres south of the SARDI pipeline, thence generally in a south-westerly direction for a distance of approx. 100 metres to a West cardinal mark Qk. Fl.(9) 15secs. at approx. position Lat. 34 degrees 57 mins 22.6 secs South Longitude 138 degrees 30 mins 07.0secs East, thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 80 metres to another west cardinal mark Qk.fl(9)15secs. at approx. position Latitude 34 degrees 57 mins 20.2 secs South Longitude.138 degrees 30 mins 06.1 mins East, thence generally in a north -easterly direction to the intersection with the Low water mark, thence finally in a south-easterly direction along the low water mark to the point of commencement.

Mariners are advised to keep clear as the above areas are a danger to
navigation.
