Notice to Mariners No 40 of 2001

South Australia - River Murray - Data Recording Floating Platform

A floating platform with recording devices will be permanently located in the following position to record data for the proposed Bookpurnong salt interception scheme.
Lock 4 Downstream 513.5 AMTD
Latitude 34 degrees 20.65 minutes South
Longitude. 140 degrees 33.15 minutes East

The platform will exhibit special markers consisting of yellow St. ANDREWS crosses with reflectors on diagonal corners at a height of one metre and photo electric flashing amber lights by night.

The platform is expected to be in position by the end of August 2001
Mariners are advised to keep well clear of the platform
