Notice to Mariners No 21 of 2001

South Australia - Port lincoln - Boston Island- Outer Harbour- Supply Dropping Exercises

Mariners are advised that Australian Search and Rescue will be conducting training exercises on the following dates and times

On Saturday 12th May 2001 and Sunday 13 th May 2001 between 0900 hrs, and 1630 hrs on both days.

The training exercises involes droping liferafts and other life saving devices from an aircraft. Pyrotechnics in the form of white and orange smoke markers will be used throughout the exercise. A surface vessel will be in attendance at all times to recover equipment, act as communications vessel and oversight general safety in the area.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution and keep clear of the area during these times
