Special Notices
- Please exercise extreme caution at all times as dry and dusty conditions prevail on the unsealed road network.
- SEALED ROAD WARNINGS
- Orroroo to Hawker road turn off - Caution at Yanyarrie Creek detour - single lane, speed restriced to 25km per hour. Caution also at Wirreanda Creek - single lane, speed restricted.
- PUBLIC ACCESS ROUTE INFORMATION
- Halligan Bay Track - Public Access Route into Lake Eyre North is open to 4WD vehicles only. Caution at creek crossings and corrugations.
- NATIONAL PARKS INFORMATION
- Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park will be CLOSED to public access for feral animal control to protect the Yellow-footed Rock-Wallaby as part of Operation Bounceback from 6am Sunday 11 May 2008 until 6pm Frinday 16 May 2008. *Please note tourist facilities at Arkaroola will remain open at all times*
- The follwoing roads will remain open to through traffic - weather dependant - Copley to Balcanoona, Blinman to Balcanoona via Wirrealpa, Balcanoona to Arkaroola, Balcanoona to Strzelecki Track via Wooltana and Moolawatana. - Witjira National Park - Spring Creek Delta - permanently closed - use bypass track.

Changes have recently been made for accessing pastoral leased land.
A flyer has been produced by the South Australian Association of
Four Wheel Drive Clubs (SAAFWDC) to better inform members of the
touring public about the nature of the leases and the requirements
and full responsibilities for those wishing to traverse them.
