Driver Accreditation

What is driver accreditation?

Driver Accreditation is required prior to operating a Public Passenger Vehicle (Taxi, Chauffeured Vehicle, Bus) for hire fare or reward. The drivers are accredited under the Passenger Transport Act 1994. Driver accreditation is to ensure that drivers of a public passenger vehicle are fit and proper and of good repute.

The Accreditation and Licensing Centre is located at Building 17A 71 Transport Avenue Netley 5037 and is responsible for the approval of applicants to drive public passenger vehicles.

Driver Accreditation is an authorisation to drive a public passenger vehicle for hire, fare or reward.
