Licences & Certification

• Aquatic Activity Licence
  An Aquatic Activity Licence (previously known as Closed Water Licence) is required when a person or organisation wishes to have exclusive use of a designated area of waterway for their sport activity.
  

• Boat Operator Licence
  You must have a Boat Operator’s Licence to operate any type of recreational boat fitted with an engine.
  

• Driver Licence
  Drivers of any motor vehicle must hold a current driver’s licence.

  People who crew commercial vessels must be certificated as competent.
  

• Motorbike Licence
  You must have a South Australian Driver’s Licence endorsed with a motorbike class in order to ride a motorbike.
  

• Taxi Accreditation
  Accreditation is an authorisation to drive a public passenger vehicle for hire, fare or reward, or operate a passenger transport service or operate a taxi service.
  

• Tow Truck Certificate
  In the greater metropolitan area of Adelaide, the driver of a tow truck must hold a Tow Truck Certificate issued by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.
