Stolen or lost licences

If your South Australian driver's licence, provisional licence or learner's permit is lost or stolen, you may apply for a replacement at any Customer Service Centre.

What do you need to do?

Even if you apply for your replacement by mail, you must go to a photo point location to be photographed. If you live in a remote area of South Australia that does not have a photo point, or you cannot get to a photo point, contact a Customer Service Centre to make other arrangements.

What you should bring

  • evidence of identity that verifies your identity, age, signature and residential address.
  • the fee for your replacement licence or permit.

Applicants who are interstate or overseas and require a replacement driver's licence can be issued with a Photo Kit. The licence holder must make a written application for a Photo Kit.
