About the common condition codes

South Australia has also adopted the common condition codes developed by the National Road Transport Commission. Condition codes on a Driver’s Licences now have the same meaning in all States and Territories of Australia.

If your current Driver’s Licence is endorsed with a condition (not being one of the new common codes), the condition will continue to apply, even though the condition code does not correspond with the new common condition code.

However, if your Driver’s Licence is endorsed with condition code P (excludes articulated), the condition will no longer apply. This means, you will be authorised to drive both articulated vehicles and rigid truck trailer combinations as described in the Driver’s Licence classifications
