Australian
Road Rules proposed amendment and Regulatory Impact Statement
The National Transport Commission (NTC) invites interested
members of the public to comment on proposed amendments
to the Australian Road Rules. The proposed amendments clarify
give-way provisions at roundabouts, pedestrian safety at
level crossings, change the provisions regarding seating
and restraining of children under seven years and make amendments
that will ensure improved clarity of the Australian Road
Rules.
The closing date for written comment is 29 June
2007.
The draft Regulatory Impact Statement and draft amendments
