Miscellaneous Gazette Notices
Important Update:
From 17 June 2011
- you will no longer be legally required to carry Codes of Practice and Maps of Approved Route Networks within the vehicle. This applies to and overrides any condition in current Permits that state otherwise.
Note: Permits must still be carried in the vehicle.
- Gazette Notices may be carried in an electronic format that allows them to be read from a device having a visual display (eg. smart phone, tablet or laptop PC, in-vehicle unit) that is carried within the vehicle and that is accessible to DPTI and SAPOL enforcement officers from outside the vehicle. If not carried in an electronic format, then the Gazette must be carried in hard copy.
From 1 July 2011
- you will be legally required to carry a copy of the updated Gazette Notice that reflects the change to carriage of documentation within the vehicle.
When operating vehicles and vehicle combinations under these Gazette Notices, you must immediately prior to any journey and using the current approved routes specified in the relevant Gazette Notice, determine the entire approved route being travelled / operated on during the particular journey.
Gazette Notices provide the legal conditions for operating
on roads in South Australia.
You must make sure that you are operating under a current Notice.
