The National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme
(Mass Module) was introduced in South Australia on April 2000;
the scheme enables members to operate at higher mass limits
on approved routes in South Australia.
Maintenance Management Accreditation encourages
heavy vehicle operators to take more responsibility for ensuring
their vehicles are roadworthy and safe at all times. It helps
members manage their business more efficiently due to the
documented procedures in place ensuring vehicles are regularly
maintained and as a result there will be less down time associated
with breakdowns and annual inspections.
The National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme Fatigue Management Module was developed to support the National Transport Commission (NTC) Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue reform, which was approved by the Australian Transport Council in February 2007.
