Biodiversity & Land Management

Loss of biodiversity is recognised as Australia’s most serious environmental problem both on land and in our seas.

Many of our major problems such as dryland salinity and the decline in health of our rivers and natural waterways are linked to clearing of native vegetation and consequent loss of biodiversity.

Transport SA aims to protect native vegetation and significant vegetation during construction, maintenance and operation of the transport system.
