Training Courses

Transport SA provides a number of training courses directed towards improving road safety and raising awareness of environmental issues.

Environmental Management

Training of Transport SA staff and contractors is undertaken to raise awareness of Transport SA’s environmental management systems for construction and maintenance.

Fatigue Management

This course provides employers, drivers and employees with the skills and knowledge that they need to combat driver fatigue. It must be completed by

  • all drivers participating in the Basic Fatigue Management or Advanced Fatigue Management schemes.
  • any employees who are responsible for driver rostering and trip scheduling
  • the employer, or designated person, responsible for fatigue management of staff.

RiderSafe Course

Rider Safe is a Transport SA compulsory motorcycle rider training course for all novice motorcyclists which teaches the basic and advanced motorcycle skills necessary on the road.

Workzone Traffic Management

It is a legal requirement (Road Traffic Act, 1961) for persons working on or near roads in South Australia to be trained in Transport SA’s Workzone Traffic Management Training Program. At all times whilst workers are present at a site at least one worker must be trained.

Also check out the safety and environment portions of the site for further educational information.
