Fatigue Management
This course provides employers, drivers and employees with the
skills and knowledge that they need to combat driver fatigue. It
must be completed by
- all drivers participating in the Transitional Fatigue Management
Scheme
- any employees who are responsible for driver rostering and trip
scheduling
- the employer, or designated person, responsible for fatigue management
of staff.
The course involves 6 hours of theory (2 sessions) with some on-the-job
practice. The course trainer must certify the appropriate Table
in their Driver Certification Manual.
Names of approved training organisations
are available from any
Customer Service Centre.
Registration costs
Registration fees are payable to Customer Service Centres
- Employer TFMS Registration
- Driver TFMS Registration
- Self-employed Driver TFMS Registration.
The fees for the medical examination
and training courses are payable to the
medical practitioner and training organisation. Please contact them
directly for their fees.
Audits by Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure
Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure may audit an employer’s, or self-employed drivers,
system at any time and may, by written notice, request the employer
to provide the information referred to under ‘Employer’s
obligations’.
