DTEI General Conditions of Contract
Whenever possible, DTEI uses Australian Standards or accepted
industry standards as the General Conditions of Contract. These
are usually well understood by the relevant industries and reflect
DTEI’s approach to risk allocation.
However, for some categories of contract there are no suitable
standard conditions and DTEI uses its own standards. These documents
include an Annexure, which contains all of the contract specific
conditions.
GCC
Goods is used for routine goods supply contracts.
GCC
Minor Works and Field Services is used for low value or low
risk contracts for works or services that are related to the construction
or maintenance of infrastructure; for example, hire of construction
plant with an operator, graffiti removal, load and haul.
GCC
Services - Major is used for significant services contracts.
It includes provision for a formal Instrument of Agreement, Security
Deposits and Parent Company Guarantees.
GCC
Services – Minor is used for simple contracts (ie based
on offer and acceptance) for services. It is not used for long
term contracts.
For professional services, DTEI most commonly uses AS4122:2000.
The Annexures
to AS4122 provide details of DTEI special requirements
for using these conditions of contract.
